Additional Troubleshooting and Best Practices
Update Outlook and Epic Add-in: Ensure both Microsoft Outlook and the Applied Epic add-in are updated to their latest versions. Outdated versions can cause compatibility issues. Check Microsoft 365 updates and Applied Epic’s update portal regularly.
Verify Add-in Activation: In Outlook, go to File > Options > Add-ins. Confirm that the Epic add-in is listed under Active Application Add-ins. If it’s under Disabled or Inactive, enable it through Manage COM Add-ins.
Clear Outlook Cache: Sometimes cached data can cause issues. Clear the Outlook cache by closing Outlook, deleting cache files, and restarting.
Network and Server Access: Confirm that the Epic server URL (http://FOYIN01.AppliedEpic.com ) is accessible from your network and there are no firewall or proxy restrictions blocking communication.
Always back up any important Outlook data before performing troubleshooting steps involving add-ins.
