Outlook - Turn Focused Inbox On or Off
This document explains how to enable or disable the Focused Inbox feature. Focused Inbox helps users prioritize important emails by separating them into “Focused” and “Other” tabs for easier email management.
Instructions
Outlook Classic (Windows)
Open Outlook.
Go to View.
Click Show Focused Inbox (this is a toggle. Click again to turn it back off).
New Outlook (Windows)
Open new Outlook.
Go to View → View settings.
Open Mail → Layout (pick the account if prompted).
Under Focused Inbox:
On: Sort messages into Focused and Other
Off: Don’t sort my messages
Click Save.
Outlook Web
Open Outlook on the web.
Click the Settings (gear) icon.
Go to Mail → Layout.
Under Focused Inbox:
On: Sort messages into Focused and Other
Off: Don’t sort my messages
Click Save.
Outlook Mac
Open Outlook for Mac.
Go to the View tab.
Choose Turn on Focused Inbox or Turn off Focused Inbox.
