Outlook - Metered Network Warning In Outlook Application

This document explains how to resolve the metered network warning that appears in the Outlook application when connected to certain networks. It provides simple steps to disable the metered network setting in Windows, which prevents Outlook from limiting its activity due to data usage concerns.

Instructions

 

  1. Open Windows Settings.

  2. Click Network & internet.

  3. Select either Wi-Fi or Ethernet, depending on your connection type.

  4. Click the name of the network you are connected to.

  5. Find the Metered connection section.

  6. Turn off the toggle for Set as metered connection.

Once this setting is disabled, Outlook will no longer treat the network as metered and will stop showing the warning. This allows Outlook to function fully without restrictions.
