Outlook - Meeting Invite Delegation

This document explains how to delegate meeting invite management in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams, ensuring proper permissions for delegates to create, edit, and respond to calendar invites on behalf of the mailbox owner.

Instructions

 

  1. Set Delegate Access in Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook and go to File > Account Settings > Delegate Access.

    2. Add or select the delegate’s name.

    3. Click Permissions, then locate the Calendar permission line.

    4. Set calendar permission to Editor or Publishing Editor (which allows creating and modifying meetings).

    5. Save and close the settings.

  2. Delegate Meeting Requests in Microsoft Teams:

    1. Open the Teams app and go to Calendar.

    2. Once permissions are set, the delegate can manage meeting requests from the shared calendar within Teams.
