Outlook - Stuck In The Splash Screen
Problem
Outlook is stuck on the splash screen and does not open properly.
Solution
Update Outlook and Office
Ensure Outlook and the entire Office suite are updated to the latest version through Microsoft Update or Office Account > Update Options.
Create a New Outlook Profile
Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
Add a new profile and configure your email account.
Set the new profile as default and test if Outlook opens properly.
Repair Office Installation
Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Select Microsoft Office and choose Repair (Quick Repair first, then Online Repair if needed).
Check for Conflicting Software
Disable any antivirus or firewall temporarily to see if they interfere.
Ensure no other software is blocking Outlook from starting.
Clear Outlook Cache and Temporary Files
Delete temporary files related to Outlook by clearing files in %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook.
Start Outlook in Safe Mode
Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
Type Outlook /safe and press Enter.
If Outlook opens in Safe Mode, disable any problematic add-ins by going to File > Options > Add-ins, then manage COM Add-ins and disable them.
Close Outlook and restart normally.
