Outlook - Send Encrypted Email
This article outlines the steps to send an encrypted email using the Outlook Desktop application. Follow these steps to ensure the email content remains secure.

There are a few ways to send an encrypted message.
Outlook Menu
Locate the Options tab in the Compose Message window.
Click on Encrypt > Encrypt-Only to activate encryption for the message.
You will see a small message saying Encrypted.
Compose the message as normal then click Send.
Alternative method is clicking on File > Encrypt this item > Encrypt-Only in the Compose Message window.
Add Encryption Tag in Subject Line
In the subject line of your email, type one of the following at the beginning (include the brackets).
[Encrypted]
[Secure]
[Secured]
Compose your message and send it.
The recipient will receive an email notifying them that a protected message has been sent. This email will contain a link to view the message.
The recipient clicks Sign in with a One-time passcode which will trigger an email containing the passcode.
The recipient enters the passcode and clicks Continue.
They will then be able to view the encrypted message.
