Problem

This article explains how to verify that Windows is automatically managing the page file size, which can help maintain system performance by optimizing virtual memory usage.

Solution

1. Select Search on the taskbar and type advanced system.

2. Select View advanced system settings from the results.

3. In the System Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.

4. Under the Performance section, select Settings.

5. In the Performance Options window, go to the Advanced tab.

6. Under Virtual memory, select Change.

7. Ensure that the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives checkbox is selected.
