This article explains how to ensure your PC is running the latest version of Windows 11 and has up-to-date device drivers, which can improve system performance and stability.

Instructions

To check for Windows updates:

1. Select Start, then go to Settings > Windows Update.

2. Select Check for updates.

3. If updates are available, select Download & install.

4. Restart your PC after the updates are installed.

To check for optional updates, including drivers:

1. Select Start, then go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.

2. If optional updates are listed, select them and choose Download & install.

3. Restart your PC after installation.

To ensure device drivers are current using Device Manager:

1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

2. Expand the device categories, right-click a device, and select Update driver.
