Microsoft Edge - Persistent pop-ups issue

Problem

Users may experience persistent pop-ups in Microsoft Edge even after enabling pop-up blocking features. This article provides steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Solution

1. Ensure Microsoft Edge is up to date.

   1. Click on the 3 Dots on the top right

   2. Choose Settings.

   3. Click on About Microsoft Edge.

   4. If an update is available, apply it from this section.

2. Scan the device for malware.

3. Disable extensions to check for interference.

   1. Click on the 3 Dots on the top right

   2. Choose Extensions.

   3. Click on Manage extensions.

   4. Turn off each extension.

   5. If pop-ups are now blocked, turn on extensions one at a time to identify and remove the problematic one.

4. Block third-party cookies.

   1. Click on the 3 Dots on the top right

   2. Choose Settings.

   3. Click on Privacy, search, and services.

   4. Under Cookies, turn on Block third-party cookies.

5. Clear the browser cache.
