Google Chrome - Communication service errors
This article outlines how to resolve communication service errors in Google Chrome that affect AMS360 users. These issues are known by the Vertafore support team and typically relate to cookie handling and Chrome security settings. The fix involves allowing specific sites to use cookies and deleting the AMS communications folder.
Instructions
Allow Cookies for AMS360 and Vertafore Domains
Open Chrome.
Select More (the three dots) > Settings.
Go to Privacy and security > Third-party cookies.
Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies select Add.
Add these entries one at a time:
[*.]ams360.com[*.]vertafore.com
Delete the AMScommunications folder
Open File Explorer and navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\AMS Services, Inc\AMS 360Locate the folder named AMScommunications.
If you're unable to delete the folder because it's in use, follow these steps:
Open Task Manager.
Go to the Processes tab.
Find any running processes related to AMS360 Assembly.
Select them and click End Task.
Once the processes are stopped, return to the folder and delete AMScommunications.
The AMScommunications folder will automatically regenerate when you log back into AMS360.
Relaunch AMS360
Open AMS360 and verify if the communication service errors have been resolved.
As of the latest version of Chrome, Google continues to enforce SameSite cookie policies by default, which can interfere with older enterprise web applications. Disabling these settings and explicitly allowing trusted domains like ams360.com and http://vertafore.com ensures proper session and communication handling.
