Microsoft Teams - Missing after an update
Problem
Microsoft Teams is missing after a system update. The user cannot access the application and received no error messages.
Solution
Confirm that Microsoft Teams isn’t already running in the background or system tray.
Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps and search for Microsoft Teams. If Teams is listed click the 3 dots > Advanced options
Select Repair.
If Repair doesn’t fix the issue, select Reset. This clears its local app data/cache.
If Teams is still missing or still won’t open, uninstall Microsoft Teams.
Download and install the Teams desktop app from Microsoft’s official Teams download page. After installation, sign in with your account.
Make sure Windows is fully updated.
