Error code 1: Installation failure

Error code 1 indicates that the Creative Cloud apps on your device have become corrupted.

  1. Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app using the Creative Cloud desktop app uninstaller.

Admin rights may be required to uninstall the application. Contact Service Desk if prompted for admin credentials.

  1. Download the Creative Cloud desktop app. Click on the downloaded file to begin installation.

  2. Sign in with your Adobe credentials when prompted. Follow any provided. onscreen instructions.

  3. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. You’ll be able to install Adobe apps from there.

If uninstalling and reinstalling the Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't resolve the error, use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to perform a clean installation of your Creative Cloud desktop app. This tool is intended for advanced users. It can fix many common problems, such as removing old Adobe software, cleaning corrupt installation files, and fixing your host files to establish a connection with Adobe servers.

Error code 183: Installation or update failed

Error code 183 can occur because of various problems, such as permission issues, an aggressive virus checker, or a system setting that prevents installation.

  1. In the error message, select More info.

  2. In the pop-up window, select view error log and check the folder that is causing the error.

  3. If the folder is Adobe Creative Cloud Experience, right-click the task bar and select Task manager.

If the folder in the error message is not Adobe Creative Cloud Experience, navigate to the folder using File Explorer and rename or delete it. Then, retry the installation.

  1. Right-click Creative Cloud Content Manager and select End task.

  2. Open File explorer and enter the folder path in the search bar:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud Experience
  3. Delete the folder and then install the app again.

Error code 201: Creative Cloud update failed

Error code 201 indicates an installation or update failure that happens when your device is not able to connect to the server.

  1. Verify that you are connected to the Internet: You require an Internet connection to download and update apps. Verify that you are connected to the Internet and select Retry.

  2. Try a different network: If you have more than one Internet connection, try to use the other one. Then try to install the app again.

Error code 202: Installation failed

Error code 202 indicates an installation failure due to insufficient disk space.

Free up some space from your internal drive, and then try to reinstall the app.

Error code 205: There is a problem with the downloaded file

Error code 205 indicates that there was an issue with the downloaded file. This error can also occur due to network issues.

  1. Try to use a different Internet connection: If you have more than one Internet connection, try to use the other one. Then try to install the app again.

Error code 206: No Network connection or server disconnection

Error code 206 indicates that there is a problem in connecting to the server, or the Internet connection is unavailable.

  1. Check if you have an Internet connection: You require an Internet connection to download and update apps. Verify that you can connect to the Internet, and select Retry.

  2. Try a different network: If you have more than one Internet connection, try to use the other one. Then try to install the app again.
