Printer - Clear and reset the print spooler
This article provides instructions on how to clear and reset the print spooler in Windows.
Instructions
Type Services in the search box on the taskbar and select Services from the results.
In the Services window, find and double-click Print Spooler.
In the Print Spooler Properties window, click Stop under the Service status section, then select OK.
Open File Explorer and navigate to:
%WINDIR%\system32\spool\printersDelete all files in this folder to clear the print queue.
Go back to the Services window and double-click Print Spooler again.
In the Print Spooler Properties window, select Start under Service status, choose Automatic in the Startup type dropdown, and click OK.
After restarting the spooler, try printing again. If the issue persists, you may need to update or reinstall the printer driver.
