OneDrive - Missing Files
Problem
Some files you expect to see in OneDrive for work (online or in your OneDrive folder on your device) appear to be missing.
Solution
Always start your search on the OneDrive website. Because all your devices sync here, it is the most accurate place to check.
Search OneDrive on the Web
Sometimes files get accidentally moved to a different folder.
Open a web browser (use a Private/Incognito window if you are on a mobile device to prevent the app from opening).
Go to OneDrive on the web and sign in to your Trucordia account..
Use the Search bar at the top of the page.
Don’t just search for exact filenames. You can search using descriptions, tags, dates, or places ("sales", "xls", "April", or "Project Alpha").
Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin
If you accidentally deleted the file, it will end up in your OneDrive Recycle Bin.
On the left-hand menu of the OneDrive website, click on Recycle bin.
Scroll through or search for your missing file.
If you find the item, click to select it, and then click Restore at the top of the page.
If you already emptied your recycle bin, move on to the next steps. IT may still be able to restore it for you.
Verify Your Account
It is common to accidentally save files to a different account.
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
Verify that you are signed in to your work account.
If you are signed into a different account, sign out and sign back in with your Trucordia credentials.
Look on Your Local Device Storage
Sometimes files are saved locally on your computer or phone and haven't synced to the cloud yet.
Open File Explorer and use the search bar to look for the file. Check your computer's local Recycle Bin.
Restore Your OneDrive (Undo Recent Actions)
You can "rewind" your entire OneDrive to a previous point in time to recover files deleted or corrupted in the last 30 days.
You need to go straight to onedrive.com and login there to see the below.
Click the Settings (Gear icon) in the top right of the OneDrive website.
Under OneDrive section, click Restore your OneDrive.
Select the timeframe then click Restore.
