Network - Find IP Address

For network troubleshooting we will need the computer’s IP address.

Instructions

Windows

1. Right-click the Windows button and select Run, or press Windows key + R on your keyboard.

2. In the Run dialog, type CMD and click OK.

3. In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig and press Enter.

4. Look for the IPv4 Address entry. This will display your computer's local IP address.

Mac

1. Go to System Settings.

2. Select Network from the sidebar.

3. Choose your active network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).

4. Your IP address will appear under "Details" of the connected network.
