Outlook - Mobile Setup on both iOS and Android
This explains how to set up Outlook on your mobile device. This is the recommended method since it allows you to better sync your Trucordia mail, contacts, and calendars.
Instructions
You are required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Depending on what device you use you can find it in one of these links:
If you already have the apps installed, make sure they’re updated.
When prompted, make sure to Allow Notifications in the Outlook app.
Before setting up Outlook, make sure the Microsoft Authenticator is logged into your Trucordia account. If not follow these steps to set it up.
iPhone/iPad
Open the Outlook app.
Tap Get Started (or Add Account).
Type your work email address, then tap Add Account.
When the sign-in page appears, enter your work password.
When asked to approve the sign-in:
Open Microsoft Authenticator on your phone
Approve the sign-in (tap Approve/Yes, or enter the number shown)
Return to Outlook and wait for your inbox to load.
Android
Open the Outlook app.
Tap Get Started or go to Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account
Type your Trucordia email address, then tap Continue.
Enter your work password.
When prompted, open Microsoft Authenticator and approve the sign-in.
Return to Outlook and let it finish loading your mailbox.
Quick troubleshooting
If you didn’t receive the Authenticator prompt, check your phone notifications or open the Authenticator app.
If you got a new phone (or Authenticator was removed), you may need to set up Authenticator again on the new device using the Security Info page: http://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
If your password is not working, try logging in on a computer to confirm the password is correct then try in Outlook Mobile again. You can reset the password if needed.
Depending on how much mail you have, it may take some time for all the messages to download.
It’s recommended that you are on Wi-Fi for initial setup.
